HR Assistant

Crawley £10 - 12 p/h dependant on experience Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR Assistant to really get their teeth stuck into!

Looking for your next step in HR? We are looking for an experienced HR Assistant or Recruitment administrator who has a real passion to deliver. As the HR assistant you will be responsible for the delivery of a full range of Human Resource administration services.

You will be supporting the HR team in delivering efficient and professional support, ensuring that all administration is delivered in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.

Please note this is a full time temporary role which is to start immediately.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • The key purpose of this role is to assist the HR team in delivery of HR Support through the employee lifecycle.

HR Support 

  • First line of support for all HR employee relations enquiries and escalating to relevant HR team member.
  • Administration of start of employment (on-boarding) processes including pre-employment checks, new starter checklist and induction programme and coordination of processes leading on from this such as driver training, licence mandate processing, administrating DBS checks, organising medicals and ordering business cards.
  • Support recruitment activities including CV collation and arranging interviews.
  • Overseeing of the probation period process and initiation of benefits.
  • Administration of CSCS cards and associated training.
  • Administration of off boarding process (leaver checklist).
  • Administration and maintenance of absence records, including updating the absence tracker and monthly overview spreadsheet and running monthly trigger point checks and assisting with WhosOff queries.
  • Supporting health and wellbeing activities as determine by the HR Business Partner.
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing employee recognition activities, including long service awards and ad hoc recognitions
  • Responsible for maintaining the HR page on Sharepoint.
  • Assisting with HR projects and the roll out of the HR strategy.
  • Alignment with ISO90001 and ISO45001: SOP-0066 and SOP-0010 and assisting with annual audits.
  • Organising Team and HR meetings throughout the year.
  • Providing front of house cover during periods of absence/holidays.


EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Good standard of education with excellent written and spoken English
  • Must hold or be willing to study a qualification at CIPD Level 3
  • Strong administration and written skills
  • Competent use of databases/e-platforms and MS Office literate
  • Process-driven
  • Self-motivated and result driven, demonstrating good time management
  • Committed to good levels of service
  • Interest in self-development
